Everyone’s favourite homes show, SHOTY, is back with a festive special due to air on Monday December 16. Judges Anna Campbell Jones, Danny Campbell and Banjo Beale travel the country in search of this year’s Christmas cracker of a home.
The three wise judges are looking to score each home on festive design and seasonal style but which one will be top of the tree? Among this year’s entries is Mistletoe House in Cumbernauld, home to Gillian and Philip and teenage sons, Mitchell and Mackenzie. Every year, Gillian goes to painstaking lengths to transform the family’s self-build into a veritable winter wonderland. She insists on doing all the the work herself as no one else can quite match her exacting standards. There is a tree in almost every room and three show-stopping doorway arches decorated with hundreds of baubles while a giant garland is wrapped around the full length of the staircase. For Gillian and Philip, Mistletoe House truly is Christmas HQ for all the daily to celebrate together.
Tune in to see how the North Lanarkshire home fares against competition from abodes in Alloa, Dalkeith, Fraserburgh and Lesmahagow.
Scotland’s Christmas Home of the Year airs on Monday December 16 on BBC One Scotland at 8pm.
